The Florida Gators start out with a couple of not quite cupcakes but fairly easy wins against FAU and USF. Next the defended national champ Crimson Tide come rolling into town. Having this game at home is a huge deal and assuming Covid restrictions on crowds are lifted the atmosphere at the Swamp along with more experienced QB play will give the Gators a leg up over the Tide. I think Alabama’s youth will get the best of them in the Swamp. The Tennessee game the following week should be a higher scoring affair but the Gators get a few defensive stops to pull out the win. At Kentucky the next week will give the Gators a scare but the Wildcats have a tendency to choke late against Florida. Vandy should be no match for UF and next up the trip to Red Stick to face LSU. There is not a chance Florida let’s this game slip away after last year‘s debacle. they beat LSU by two touchdowns and force a couple turnovers In the process. Next up the annual showdown in Jacksonville with Georgia. Last year‘s game the Gators shredded Georgia through the air. This time Florida will have three offensive turnovers and Georgia will run through UF’s defense like a hot knife through butter. The Gators rebound the following week at South Carolin. After a cupcake win against Samford I see Florida pulling a Dan Mullen and losing to an inferior Missouri team on the road in a chilly if not down right cold night in Columbia. The Gators will beat FSU next game up back at home in the Swamp to close out the regular season.
