Kentucky starts off the 2021 season with an easy win against ULM. Next up, the game against Missouri will be a challenge but I think the Wildcats have the better defense so they should be able to come up with a key turn over or two that gives them the win. The new look offense should also create a few big passing plays that will catch Missouri’s defense by surprise. Chattanooga Is another gimme win. The game at South Carolina could be intriguing but Shane Beamer just doesn’t have the players to compete with the Wildcats in year one. The Florida game should be much more exciting. The Wildcats will have the offense this year to challenge the Gators defense but in the end a late turnover by Kentucky seals the win for Florida. Up next, the Bayou Bengals come to town. Again, I think Kentucky plays well in this game but LSU‘s return to normalcy on defense allows them to edge out on top. The game at Georgia will be the worst loss of the season for the Wildcats. Georgia’s defense will come up with a couple turnovers off the Kentucky passing game and win this game by at least two scores. The open date cannot come soon enough during this stretch. However, after these three losses we have Kentucky rebounding to clobber Mississippi State in Starkville. The defense will keep the Bulldogs offense in check and Chris Rodriguez will run will on the Bulldogs defense to salve the mistakes in the Kentucky passing game a couple weeks prior. The Tennessee game will be an absolute beat down again in favor of the Wildcats. The run up and down the court basketball on grass offense that Josh Heupel likes to run will result in at least 3 turnovers in this game. Kentucky may also pass the ball early in this game but expect them to add 100+ yards rushing in the 4th quarter against a gassed TN defense. The game against Vandy should be another easy win along with New Mexico State the following week. The game at Louisville could be interesting but again the Kentucky defense should rise to the challenge and the running game should be able to secure the win.
