As I look forward to Monday night’s game between Ohio State and Alabama I think the only the Buckeyes can win this game is to get pressure on Alabama QB Mac Jones. Alabama’s defense will give up points but should be able to get a few stops to put their offense ahead unless Ohio State’s defensive line gets pressure. Mac Jones has rarely been tested throughout the season by SEC defenses as the league has been down overall this year on that side of the ball. LSU hemorrhaged yards against most teams they played, Auburn hasn’t had a pass rush since 2017, Florida‘s defense is feast or famine under Todd Grantham, and Georgia‘s defense just folds whenever Kirby has to face his former boss. Most analysts predict Bama to win but I don’t think their offensive line has quite seen a defensive line the caliber of Ohio State’s. I am predicting Ohio State to win 42 - 31.
